I moved to the Des Moines area in 2017 and have found my home. I started my spiritual journey before I got here. However, it kicked into high gear once I relocated from Illinois. Moving from a place where I had lived all my life was a huge change for me and my family. It really is true that you bring in the people that you need, when you need them. I found the person that I needed to jump start my love of Tarot again. That lead me to find others with like minds. Each person I brought into my circle had a purpose and has contributed to who I am today and for that I am thankful. It did not matter whether or not they were good for me; there was still a lesson that the universe thought I needed. I have tried to be open to receiving these messages and to not dwell on the bad but to grow from it. I challenge you to do the same.
Reading Tarot cards for myself and then for others has brought me a lot of inner peace and a feeling of being able to fulfill a purpose. I very much enjoy helping people. I try and guide with my readings based on what the cards are telling me through intuition and my own personal experiences. From Tarot, I graduated to spells and then the world truly began to open to me. Spells usually include a small reading so that I know what to target. From there I use whatever is available to me. Anything from candles specially created for the end goal, to crystals, to grids, and writing my own custom spells.
I am very upfront about reading cards and calling myself a witch. I find no shame in who I am. I also find that it will "scare" off people that I do not need in my life and can bring in those that share my beliefs. I am always excited to learn more about anything in the metaphysical world either through others or researching topics that interest me. That is part of why I dubbed myself the Eclectic Witch. I dabble in a little bit of everything. My creativity has also branched out into wire wrapping; on canvas, sculpture, and jewelry. If I don't have it, I can probably make it. Just ask!
